Ok - a little bit of an update. They are on the docket to go back to court today. I talked to the Asst. DA yesterday, and she has all of the paperwork ready to go to request the Adult Certification Hearing. One of the guys fired his court appointed attorney last week though, and he has yet to hire someone to represent him - essentially dragging his feet. But the judge has the right not to allow him to drag his feet and force him to use the court appointed attorney until he hires his own. The attorney that has been assigned to him is board certified in juvenile law, so it's not as if his rights aren't being fully represented. So hopefully at the end of today, or tomorrow, I will have a date for the certification - which will hopefully be next week. My detective will be there as well - it's either me or him that has to go in and verify the evidence, and they try to keep me out of court as much as possible so I don't have to be in the same room with the two of them. That's a very good thing.

In other news, they do have a DNA profile from the evidence that was collected. If it were just a female DNA profile, they would have told her that, but they didn't, so she assumes that it's a male profile they were able to develop. She does not know how strong the profile is though. They will put it up against the two attackers first and go from there. And I have 100% confidence any DNA they did find came from one of them, because there just aren't any other options.

Oh...and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new car! I think I'm going to wash her for the first time this weekend... she's BEAUTIFUL! :o)
