Just a few updates for y'all - I'll start with the positive and then go from there...

My New Home: Well I'm officially moved in - and I got to sleep in my bed for the first time in a MONTH on Sunday night. Can I tell you how much I love my bed? I love it, love it, love it! Never to be taken for granted again! LOL! And Meg is so cute - she went and painted my room a mocha color and put up pink curtains because she knew my bedroom stuff is chocolate and pink. How sweet is that?!? According to her, I just COULDN'T move into a white bedroom! Only Meg, only Meg... Next on the list is to get the electric fence wired so Pancheaux can come home too. I don't think he's going to be quite as excited about it as I am because I'm taking him away from his buddy, but I'll just have to give him some extra attention - and I don't mind a bit!

Vehicle: Well, I went today with my mom and we cleaned out the wrecked Explorer - not that there was a whole lot left or anything. All CD's are gone, planner, purse (which I expected), rodeo credentials, and all of the stuff that I had in the organizer in the back. Somehow Melissa's leather jacket survived - that was the only thing of value. Other than that, a picnic blanket, my jumper cables, and one of my floozie koozies were the only things I walked away with. They TRASHED the vehicle beyond what I could even imagine. There was tobacco EVERYWHERE - they had unrolled swisher sweets and dumped them in the tray inbetween the front seats - and it was all over the vehicle as well. So we're pretty sure drugs were involved at some point - shocking I know... It didn't help that it was all covered in fingerprint dust too - because that turns everything black. There was a bunch of broken plastic, and the rearview mirror had been ripped out. As far as the outside goes, the only panel not affected was the back hatch. Everything else had damage in someway or another. Neither one of the front doors will close. Driver's side mirror was ripped off. Essentially a really nice vehicle was ruined. I'll be amazed if the body shop can even begin to get that vehicle back to what it was. Oh - and up the damage estimate - it's $5700 - and that's just for the outside. They didn't do the estimate on the inside damage. Fabulous.

Good news though - I've decided on a Chevy Equinox after test driving this weekend. I really really liked it. Now it's just a waiting game with getting the old one fixed so I can trade it in and get the new one.

Case: Last but not least... A lot of you are asking me questions regarding what comes next. All I know is that my case was turned over to the DA's office - in the juvenile division. So yes, for those wondering, the suspects ARE in fact juveniles. UGH. I called and got some information today. The first guy (passenger) will be arraigned tomorrow, and the second guy (driver) will be arraigned Friday. I'm not going to either arraignment, but I hope to have some information sometime next week. I want to know what they were charged with, and what comes next considering they have confessions from them. And I want to know if they will get out on bail after they are arraigned, but before the trial. And I also want to know what the maximum sentence is for these guys - because I will HIGHLY encourage the DA to pursue that to the fullest extent - REGARDLESS of what is required of me to do so. Anyways - I'll get the info out there as I can once I find out.

Other than that - I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week and your weekend! Everything for me seems to be falling into place in a way that I could have never imagined. God is good...

Much love...
