They're caught! They're caught! They have finally been caught!!!
Yes my friends, you've heard me correctly - the two suspects are behind bars - and actually have been for a week and a 1/2. My detective couldn't tell me that until he had talked to the DA though. He had his meeting with her this morning, and then called me right afterwards. They have both of the guys behind bars. One confessed to everything excluding the assault, and the other one confessed to everything under the premise that there was a white guy there holding a gun on them forcing them to do what they did. Now, there was no white guy for those that just went "Huh?". It gave him an "out" in his mind, but it places him at every crime scene. And that will be easy to explain in court.
Anyways - it's a VERY VERY good day...
And I also found out that while they are both in gangs, it was not gang related. They are both in gangs, but not the same one. So they were just out being thugs, it wasn't an initiation or anything...
BUT - that's the update for now!! I'm going to Austin to celebrate tonight!!
And now turn your prayers towards the DA - I know she has a daunting job ahead of her...

That is wonderful news! The only thing that could be better is when you tell us they are going to prison! Love you Renee! You are an amazing and strong woman.
