Well I'm coming off of one of the greatest weekends I've had in awhile... nothing crazy exciting or anything, just a few really good times spent with people that I love. As I like to say, it made my heart smile...
A few updates:
1. I have a home! Or at least a semi-permanent place that I will call home for the next few months. I am moving in with the best Yankee-turned-Texans I've ever encountered - Scott and Meg. They moved to Houston from Boston in January and recently bought a home. They have offered to let Pancheaux and I move in and we will have a room to ourselves and Panch will have a yard. I think he will be very, very happy. This lifts such a weight off of my shoulders, and I'm pretty excited about it too. It's been awhile since I've lived with people, but unfortunately, I'm not sure I could live alone right now. And living with a married couple will also be nice because it'll allow me to still maintain my independence, but have people close by if I need them. I know the last thought that they ever contemplated when moving down here would be to get a roommate, but they are just amazing. I can't say enough about them...
2. Car shopping has commenced. There are a couple of contenders. Nee Nee is excited. Insurance is supposed to go look at the Explorer today actually and hopefully we'll know a lot more by the end of the week. I plan on test driving vehicles on Saturday, and we'll probably come to a decision about the next one after that.
3. Poison Ivy is on it's last legs - THANK GOODNESS! But now I'm sick with a cold. Blah. Oh well... I'll still take that over the poison ivy!
And that's about it. I'm still doing well. I'll probably go see the counselor again this week or next. Pretty much I'm just trying to get to the point that I can establish my new routine. That's the part that sucks - I liked my life how it was, but obviously things have to change...
Oh - and I'm trying to catch up on all of my email. I know I'm backlogged, but I'll get to each of you eventually... I'm not ignoring you, I promise! Just trying to find the happy balance between work and life and everything else that comes with it...
I hope you all have a great week! Oh - one last thing - there is a high probability that I will be doing a voice ID and a live lineup this week. Obviously that's contingent on them getting the guys in custody. But still a little bit frightening. Keep all of the law enforcement involved, and me, in your prayers!
